Statement of Faith

Fire and Glory Ministries

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and a Creedal ministry. That is, we believe in the tenets of the Apostles’ or Nicene Creed as the foundation of our ministry.

Apostles Creed:

I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day, he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there, he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

Nicene Creed:

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through Him all things were made.

For our sake and for our salvation, He came down from heaven and, by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake, He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who is adored and glorified with the Father and the Son, and who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

• We believe in One God, Maker of heaven and earth, manifested in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• We believe that God loves and embraces all people from every tongue, every tribe, and every nation.

• We believe that Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, was crucified, died, was buried, raised on the third day, and lives eternally as Savior on behalf of all who come to Him.

• We believe the fullness of the Godhead dwells within Jesus Christ. He is fully God and fully Man. Jesus Christ has been given all authority in the heavens and on earth. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is God over all gods. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no man comes to the Father except through Him. The name of Jesus Christ is the only name by which man can be saved.

• We believe in the Person of the Holy Spirit, who empowers and fills all believers in Jesus Christ who desire His presence.

• We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit as outlined in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 are available to all believers for the building up of the Church and to encourage those who do not believe in the truth and the reality of God.

• We believe the Scriptures to be the holy and inspired Word of God.

• We believe that God calls us to a lifestyle of purity, integrity, and holiness. Therefore, we actively pursue freedom in God and God alone. (Leviticus 19:2; 1 Samuel 16:7; Psalm 24:3-4; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 1Corinthians 6:18; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Philippians 4:8).

• We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person at conception as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). We understand that our world is struggling with gender identity that is manifesting in ways that do not align with Scripture or the heart of God. We believe God can bring healing, wholeness, and freedom to those who desire it.

• We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25; Romans 7:2; I Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23).

• Because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman, and Himself, our ministry will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman. We emphasize that marriage reflects God’s purpose, as Christ is the Groom and the Church is the Bride. Our ministry shall only solemnize marriages between one man and one woman.

• We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion is incompatible with the Biblical stance that life begins at conception. In stating this, we extend the love and mercy of Christ to those who have had abortions (Job 3:16; Psalm 51:5; 139:14-16; Isaiah 44:24; 49:1,5; Jeremiah 1:5;20;15-18).

• We believe God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

• We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, beliefs, or economic status (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Fire and Glory Ministries.

• We believe that the wonderful news of God’s love needs to be shared with all people and is a priority in God’s heart.
